Supporting Your Library
How to get involved!
Volunteering
The Joseph City Library welcomes volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help keep the library open when I am on vacation or when I am sick. Some computer skills are needed as our circulating system is web based. If you are interested in volunteering, please stop in or contact me at 432-0141.
Friends of the Library
The Friend's of the Library are always looking for new members. Our goal is to have fun while helping the library by whatever means we can, either through fundraisers or projects and activities that provides support for the library. Anyone interested in joining our group can either contact Genene Kingsford at 432-0141 or Shannon Maslach at 432-6042.
The Library Foundation
The newly established Wallowa County Library Foundation will provide support for all libraries in the county including the school libraries. Regular monthly meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 6:30 at the Wallowa County Library. For further information contact
Community Support
The Joseph City Library welcomes community support and involvedment. Recently, when we noticed our old library chairs had become stained and ripped, the Phi Master Sorority volunteered to help by paying the cost to have the chairs upholstered. Having a need and then having a community group or business immediately pitch in and help fulfill that need let's us know that we are a vital part of the community and we will help us serve our patrons at the highest level possible. Even small levels of support are greatly appreciated.
